Woody Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Hey guys ... and I do mean the men. Only two weeks before the big day. What are you going to do for your sweetie ? And I am talking to the guys ... because the women never forget the day. And they have a big list of expectations. SO, get with it guys. How about a list of what we should do on that day. Women ... you can help us out here. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Amelia Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 I don't have a sweetie so I will be doing my best to ignore the day. Woody Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 I am already preparing. I just bought a Valentines Day Card. Did you know they have Valentines Day Cards for Pastors? No. Just kidding. Actually ... I've already ordered the present also. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

I have noticed on various threads on this board ... that you do a lot of ignoring. You need to get out of your shell. Find a sweetie to send a card to. You have two weeks. Get movin. Maybe you should start a thread: Sweeties Wanted. Maybe others would join you. Neil? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Liz Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Alright, this is just my perspective--you guys can take it or leave it. Don't buy chocolates or candy--women are on a perpetual diet, and this just says "we don't care how much you have starved yourself, or that you are working out like crazy; here have some chocolate so that you can spend even more time obsessing about how much you weigh". Don't buy cut flowers or balloons--this was cute in highschool, now balloons pop and flowers die--you really want to use this as proof of your love? Here is what you do: Find out her all time favorite romantic movie--rent it or buy it. Fix a nice dinner--do the cleanup afterwards too. Buy her a CD of her favorite group. Get her a gift card to her favorite bookstore--then accompany her there and have a tea or coffee afterwards. Buy a book on message and then try it out on each other--don't forget the oils. Buy flowers that are in a pot, then you can transfer them to your garden; or keep them inside--make sure she isn't allergic. Plant a tree in your yard. Find out her favorite scent, buy it in bubble bath--take a bath together; don't forget to wash each other's hair. Couple some of these things together and you will have a great day. If you are single stick with the first four things on this list. Quote For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Neil D Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Alright, this is just my perspective--you guys can take it or leave it. Couple some of these things together and you will have a great day. If you are single stick with the first four things on this list. As a single person, I am glad that you clarified that....I might have gotting in trouble with it....[i can see it next morning..."But Liz said that it would be a great thing! I will leave the rest of the romantic interlude alone..] Oh, did you singles out there know that Feb 13th is a friday? So, if you have a "sometime sweetie", prepared to be dumped that day....as your "sometime sweetie" might have found someone that is willing to take the "permanent sweetie" spot... Woody Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 Liz ... A romantic movie is really pushin it. I think that is a little more than I can handle. Now I wouldn't mind sharing the hightlights of the Super Bowl with my sweetie. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
