Guest truthseeker007 Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Am i the only one who is often overwhelmed with sadness? When i went to church a long time ago, i saw only smiling faces. I don t want to give in to my feelings because they ve caused me troubles. The girl who said she d marry me left me, lied to me and destroyed me. Now i consider every woman as an xxxobject. I am not interested in getting to know people anymore, they are all hypocrytes with a judgemental attitude. But i feel sad, i mean it is clear that God has given up on me, and i ve given up too. So what s left, the pleasures of this world don t satisfy me at all. Visiting a prostitute makes me feel nasty. Porn is a timekiller but there are also other moments in which i have a little time doing other stuff. And then i start to realise that this is not the lifestyle that i am supposed to live. Then i get sad, feeling like crying, but it is hopeless. God doesn t believe i am capable of doing any work for him, and i know he is right, but it s so hard to accept the idea that all my struggles were all for nothing. But i can understand God, i am not angry with him, i am just very very sad. Sometimes i try to push away my pain, disable my feelings and then i become agressive, getting dreams of stabbing someone to death. Sometimes i just want to kill people but i think i d never do that actually. It s hopeless. Any of you feeling sad sometimes? Quote
BSW Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 In the cross of Jesus Christ is healing. In the blood of the lamb of God is strenghth. In Him is life. In order to serve others you need to look at them, and understand that they too need help, this helps us to not focus on us. When we dwell on ourselves none can see any good because we all are worthy of eternal death, but we are not to look to ourselves, we are to look to Jesus, hanging on that cross so we can be free of the burden of sin. There is only one way out of this mess. It is by following the Holy Spirit out. You know as well as I what is right and wrong, it can even be different between the two of us, but the conscience when followed using the Scriptures to verify, which is the HS, will lead you into repentence and trust. No need to have a pity party when we can have a righteous, holy party in which the unfallen can join, you know, those that will live forever with those that follow the lamb. That's the party we need to invite others to! Quote
