Gus Foster Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 "Do not fear what you are about to suffer, behold, the Devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and have tribulation -- be faithful unto the point of death -- " (Rev 2:10) The path of the church follows the path of the life of their Lord and Savior, especially at this end of the age. The life of trials and tribulation of Jesus is being replicated by His followers. The church age has experienced crosses all over the globe, and now at the end time will fulfill the fifth seal of Revelation. We are at Gethsemane; earnest watching and praying are mandated, even to the extent of wrestling with the Angel, clutching desperately with all our will and strength. The table is being set and the white horse harnessed. We can hear the trumpet, and must awake. Satan and his religious-political-military-industrial-commercial complex are advancing, no, charging. His roar is deafening, while their moaning and groaning is drowned out by their gnashing of teeth as these merchants watch their ships capsize, while we must be conscious of the work of the Holy Spirit and struggle to keep the worldliness under our skin from permeating our very soul. Many slink in darkness rather than contribute to earth's gospel illumination by showing the light of Jesus that He has shared with us. Babylon is unveiled and her pretty packages and bubbles that have fueled false hopes now expose the true unregenerate human nature; listen, can you not hear, can you not see? The white washed pundits are manifested; nakedness prevails. There are those that are ignorant, those that are scoffers and those that rest in the arms of Jesus. Listen to the call; will you not watch, will you not pray, will you not glorify the Father and the Son? Quote Striving for a better relationship with Him! Gus Foster
Administrators Gail Posted February 18, 2009 Administrators Posted February 18, 2009 Thanks for this, Gus! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
