Woody Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 This is especially good news because Fox is on 360 and so it will be easy to switch between 360 and 368. Cool !! Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Members phkrause Posted February 27, 2009 Members Posted February 27, 2009 So you have directTV? And do you also get 3ABN on directTV? pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Woody Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 So you have directTV? And do you also get 3ABN on directTV? pk I have Direct TV and also the Adventist Satellite Dish. But so far ... there is no 368 yet. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Dr. Shane Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 So you have directTV? And do you also get 3ABN on directTV? pk 3ABN is on Dish Network. This means that both Dish Network subscribers and DirecTV subscribers will have Adventist TV in their home. This is wonderful news for the North American church. I know of no better way to reach the people in North American than in their living rooms through their TVs. Americans go to work, go to the store and buy "stuff", take their "stuff" home and pretty much stay there. Americans tend to isolate themselves from their neighbors and communities so it is hard to reach them. Adventist TV allows us into Americans isolated world. Since America is the economic base for the world, the church needs to grow in North America so it can fund its growth in the rest of the world. Praise the Lord, this is a major advancement for the Advent movement. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Kountzer Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I'd already been thinking about trying direct tv. I don't know if I will, nevertheless this is great news. DB Quote I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. Frederick Douglass
Members phkrause Posted February 27, 2009 Members Posted February 27, 2009 So Shane are you saying that 3abn and hope, you get on directTV or Hope comes Dish and 3abn comes with directTV? Right now I have comcast and I get 3abn. I'm thinking of switching to Version, which in my area uses directTV. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Kountzer Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Comcast shows 3abn in certain markets. you can get 3abn via dish, but not direct tv, not now anyway. Quote I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. Frederick Douglass
Members phkrause Posted February 27, 2009 Members Posted February 27, 2009 Thanks Kountzer. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Dr. Shane Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Yes, 3ABN is a free channel on DISH but you have to have a dish pointed at the right satellite. That said, a lot of people with HDTV have to have two dishes in order to get HDTV from DISH and thus they can pick up 3ABN. Also,,, this is really sweet,,,, hang onto your pants for this one,,, if you don't pay your bill and lose your dish service... Guess what? 3ABN is one of the only channels you will get. So when people are down, have no where to turn, DISH service gets shut off... 3ABN is there for them. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Cosmin M. Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 That is very good. Especially since the economic crisis some may not be able to pay their bill anymore and they can still have 3ABN. Quote
Members phkrause Posted February 28, 2009 Members Posted February 28, 2009 Wow that's a great consolation price. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
