Joe_in_RP Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 “obama girl” results 1 - 20 of about 63,100 Recently named biggest web video of 2007 by People magazine...the AP...Newsweek...and AOL. Created by: Ben Relles Starring: Amber Lee Ettinger... "Click here for of 70 Obama Girl video" Friends these are very professionally produced videos. I am not in that business but I know video is expensive. As I quoted in politics there are no coincidences. Quote
GreatLakesGramma Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Joe, there was no link in your post, so I googled "obama girl". The youtube video "obama girl + obama duet" was obviously edited to put Obama into the scenes with the girl. You can see the halo around him that gives it away. The audio to his speech was also obviously edited to make it sound like he was singing, but you can tell by watching him that he is not. According to wikipedia, the Obama Girl video did not originate with Barack Obama, nor was he personally involved with its production. In fact, his statement to AP when asked about it was, "It's just one more example of the fertile imagination of the Internet. More stuff like this will be popping up all the time." Also, "Obama told the Associated Press that the Obama Girl video had upset his daughters and said, 'You do wish people would think about what impact their actions have on kids and families.'" The wikipedia article also says, "Obama's campaign stated they had nothing to do with the video's creation. Kauffman and Ettinger confirmed this during their June 15, 2007 appearance on Fox & Friends, where they said that the video was not made for support of Barack Obama in his campaign but rather for fun. They also expressed interest in making more videos of the same genre for other candidates of other parties as well." Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Joe_in_RP Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 Right, They made so many of those videos for fun. The actors, and directors and writers and musicians and editors and makeup and grips and assoc producers all worked for free. It was all a bunch of fun. No Professional's don't work for fun. Amateurs work for fun. Wake up America. Its about lies and deception. That's what pastor manning is talking about. Quote
GreatLakesGramma Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 No, they did not work for free. They know exactly what they are doing. This kind of thing brings them all kinds of publicity. They have gone on talk shows and gotten many more money-making offers because of this video. Happens all the time. Make waves, especially appealing to people's love of scandal and sexual innuendo, and the world beats a path to your door. Truth is irrelevant. Sensation is what brings in the money. So, you Joe, are saying that these video were produced by the Obama camp, made by the Obama camp and distributed by the Obama camp....right? They were obviously made by a profession company with a large budget. Someone paid for them. It was not done for free. The Obama camp did not stop it so it is approved by them. There are stories everyday about youtube videos being pulled. They never stopped it so its approved. If they wanted it stopped it could have happened with one phone call. There were many so this was big money. Its a part of their campaign whether the funds or the supervision came directly from them or not. Quote

The thing was made in 3 weeks...It was shot in less than 6 hours...Large budget? What do you know of producing a clip? Large budget? And the Obama camp paid for this? This would be detrimental to his cammpaign...Large budget? Paid by Obama? Approved by Obama? Obama's picture is public. To fight this in the courts would have been bad PR. He did say that he wished people would have been a bit more responsible in the producing it.... Obama approved??? Sorry, I think you are a bit off on that conclusion... GreatLakesGramma Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I agree, Neil, it doesn't even have the look of a large budget video. And Obama would have suffered more by fighting it than by ignoring it. And I am not defending him because I am a Democrat, because I am not. Far from it. Not Republican either - just as far from that. Aside from the video, that minister is way out of line to call Obama's mother white trash and a whore, because she married a black man, and to imply that Barack Obama is trash because he is racially mixed. Would he call me trash too because I have Native American ancestors? That makes me racially mixed, just like Obama. The only things I agree with this man on are what he said about Affirmative Action, and that Obama isn't really "black" in a cultural sense. Kountzer Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Never heard of the pastor in the vid-before now. I'm a bit baffled by him being a sabbatarian. Just because someone attempts to keep the sabbath doesn't mean much. I'm surprised that he has such a large church system and keeps the sabbath. As for what he has to say, he's stupid. nuff said. As for the obama girl thing, like it or not, for better or worse Obama's the prez until 2012 if all goes to plan. His opponents tried every high and low brow smear tactic, but he was destined to win. I heard the pastor prophecied tha hillary would win, but she didn't. Then he villified his own congregation for supporting obama. I sure hope no one invites him to preach at a church I attend. And if they did i'd get up and leave. DB Quote I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. Frederick Douglass
Neil D Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 DB, I would definately be inclined to move to the 'outdoor church' if he came indoors,,,,,but then again, I would probably want to hear some of what he had to say....If he started on the racial stuff, I would be out of there....My ears are virgins, and I don't need to hear that racial stuff anymore... GreatLakesGramma Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 My ears are virgins... Riiiiiiiiight. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Lewis
Amelia Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Catherine, you mean to roll your eyes at Neil, not DB. LOL +++++++++++ Sabbath has nothing to do with this pastor and his sermon. What he is preaching besmirches his title of Christian and everything Jesus taught. He needs prayer that God will reach out and turn him in the right direction. GreatLakesGramma Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Correct, Amelia. Now that you mention it, I notice that with the quote box right against the top of my post, it is very easy to miss noticing where it says "Originally Posted By: Neil D" above the quote. I've edited the quote to eliminate confusion. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. GreatLakesGramma Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Just read this quote earlier today, found it very relevant to this topic, particularly as someone has already mentioned Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Quote: It was Martin Luther King, Jr., who used the phrase "creative tension" to describe the goals of his nonviolent approach to racial tension. His approach was rooted in respect for all people regardless of their sex or race and in taking a clear, firm nonviolent stand against injustice. This poor excuse for a preacher is spewing forth not only disrespect, but hatred, for people just because of their race. I wonder if he only hates white women who marry black men, or all white people. The spirit he is being led by is not the One he thinks it is!
