Joe_in_RP Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I hope that was not an adventist church. I understand the pastor being so upset. In the Philippines its a very solemn thing. Quote

Key Guy Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 Yeah, the pastor looked a bit miffed. I was thinking of the soaked microphone and the risk associated with that. When I was re-baptized I asked the pastor to hold me under for a long time to: a) See if the audience would react, and make sure ALL the past sins were washed away. He loved the idea and we had fun with that. Quote
Woody Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 How long did you manage to stay under? Do you think it was long enough? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Key Guy Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 The pastor brought me up long before I ran out of O2, so it wasn't THAT long, but long enough to be different than what's expected.. maybe 15 seconds. Most dunks are instant in/out. Yep, I think it was long enough. After all, the water is symbolic.. those sins were cleansed when I confessed and repented well before the actual baptism. But, I still wanted to make a statement.... sort of. Quote
Woody Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I was just concerned that it might have caused some brain damage due to hypoxia. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Key Guy Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 What a friend.. to be so concerned! Hey, thanks. I'm mostly good. Just a little drooling and bloodshot eyes. Quote
