True-believer Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Regathering of the Friends 4 Life Outreach Ministries—14/03/2008--at Seaton Baptist Church--I feel I need to go back home, and so I am... To start with we’re aiming to start back up Friday night meetings at the Church outreach centre from 7—9:30pm for Bible study and Prayer and also movie nights with pizza. I am back on deck and I am very eager and on fire for the Lord to get this ministry heading back in the right direction. 2 Chronicles 7:14-16 Paraphrased: We are His people, who are called by his name, we will humble ourselves, and pray, we will seek His face, and we will turn from our wicked ways; then He will hear from heaven, and will forgive our sin, and will heal our land. God’s eyes shall be open, and His ears attentive unto the prayers made in this place. For God has chosen and sanctified this Church that His name will be there for ever: And His eyes and His heart shall be there perpetually. I am planning to do stuff with the Sudanese teenage boys each Saturday afternoon//evening as an activity day for the youth. The Global Day of Prayer is coming up soon on the 31st of May which includes Ten Days of Prayer leading up to the Global Day which will be a time of refreshing and soaking in the presence of the Holy Ghost through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Please continue to pray for myself and also the ministries listed above. In Christ’s Name… Luke A. Goss The Friends 4 Life Outreach Ministries Co-ordinator Philippines 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say REJOICE. Quote Luke 4:19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
True-believer Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 I am staying connected still with the SDA Church, but I will NOT become a member there. Instead I am sticking with my local Baptist Church and focusing on the ministry with young people at that Church. Via the numerous posts I've posted you would of seen that I believe the Sabbath is us tabernacling with God and God tabernacling with us through Jesus Christ on a continual basis 24hrs 7days each week, every week, forever and ever. Quote Luke 4:19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Woody Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Cool. Just keep workin' for Him. Way to go. We are called to service. I think you have that part down right. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
True-believer Posted March 19, 2009 Author Posted March 19, 2009 I do believe in the Biblical Sabbath being on the seventh-day of each week; I do believe that nonbelievers will just perish and not be tormented FOREVER; I do believe that we can experience God's presence through Jesus in our lifes 24/7; I do believe that we will rule and reign with Jesus for 1000yrs in heaven; I do believe we're waiting on Jesus return to take us with Him in His 2nd Coming; Please continue to prayer for me... But, its not about me, its about Jesus Christ in Me, please prayer that Jesus in me will be a witness to other people that I go up to and mingle with. I love you all my brothers and sisters. Quote Luke 4:19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Joe_in_RP Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 When I first learned of the Sabbath truth I went around tried to show my friends and relatives. They were not ready to hear it. I wish I would have been more cautious in my approach. There are many people who do not want to believe that we don't go to heaven when we die. That's to strange for them. Some want to live in denial. I have learned to go slow. I also learned a great deal attending the Wednesday night prayer meetings. When I first joined the church I bought a NIV bible and started reading from the beginning. Whoa did that open my eyes. I read it cover to cover. I will pray for you and your ministry. Youth today are very aware of the changes taking place. Quote
BobRyan Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 The Bible says "Remember the Sabbath day to keep IT Holy" -- to do that you must first be born-again - you must be Holy in the sense that "it is no longer I who live but Christ that lives in Me" -- all days of the week. You must be Holy in that "He made Him who knew no sin to become sin for us that we might become the Righteousness of God IN Him" every day of the week. And yes -- to keep that REAL 7th day Holy separated from the rest - as a living outward witness to God and man that we hear and we obey because we publically acknowledge Him as both Lord and Savior -- not just Savior. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin."
