But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.” Ezekiel 33:1-5 “As it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.” Luke 17:26 The Days of Noah and the The Three Angels' Messages God told His servant Noah about the coming judgment and destruction of the wicked and the earth as He did our pioneers. Noah warned the people of his day and preached righteousness by faith, as is also our commission. “And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;” 2 Peter 2:5 "Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith." Habakkuk 2:4 In Noah’s day the Lord ordained a divine period of probation for sinful man: And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Genesis 15:5 "Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." Daniel 8:13,14 Our Lord spoke directly to the prophet. Gabriel evidently raised the question for Daniel’s benefit. ibid It was by those revealed numbers that our pioneers were enlightened as to the time of the 'cleansing of the Sanctuary'. (So) teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12 Palmoni spoke directly to Daniel a second time... "Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground." Daniel 10:9 And again He spoke to him about a number of days and what shall befall his people in the latter days: "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia, Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.” Daniel 10:13,14 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:3, The vision that Palmoni speaks of to Daniel is the vision of the war between the ram & the he goat from chapter 8... “And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.” Daniel 8:5,6 Gabriel explained to Daniel that… "The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia." Daniel 8:20 "Iraq (Irq Ajam )is more or less identical with ancient Media" Encyclopedia Brittanica Iraq is the first horn of the ram; Iran (Persia), which is where Daniel had the visions, is the second horn which 'came up last'. "And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king." laslo Posted March 19, 2009 Author Posted March 19, 2009 The commencement of that time of trouble," here mentioned, does not refer to the time when the plagues shall begin to be poured out, but to a short period just before they are poured out, while Christ is in the sanctuary. At that time, while the work of salvation is closing, trouble will be coming on the earth, and the nations will be angry, yet held in check so as not to prevent the work of the third angel. At that time the "latter rain," or refreshing from the presence of the Lord, will come, to give power to the loud voice of the third angel, and prepare the saints to stand in the period when the seven last plagues shall be poured out." {Mar 170.1,2} I am speaking something now that interests every Seventh-day Adventist." by A.T. Jones 1901 General Conference Bulletin "The day is coming when every Seventh-day Adventist in the United States would give everything he has, and his own life almost, if he could be outside the United States . Let me say that again. I am speaking something now that interests every Seventh-day Adventist. The day is coming and is not far off, when every Seventh-day Adventist will wish to the depths of his soul that he were out of the United States : and multitudes will condemn themselves, and will fret themselves under the condemnation, that they did not go out of the United States when they had the chance. You know that this sign is given us. "When our country shall repudiate every principal of it's Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time for the marvelous working of Satan is at hand." laslo Posted March 19, 2009 Author Posted March 19, 2009 Jone's statement would refer to the time that persucution in the U.S. will be worse than the inquisitional days of yore when bloodlust will exceed the bounds heretofore known... And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. Neil D Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 That period is upon us as the 120 year period of probation is ending. Ooooooh, wow...another prophecy to help the end of the world..... Look guys...I don't want to put cold water on your "end of the world" scenerio and I am also looking for the 2nd coming as much as the next Adventist....but if we don't stop with the 'signs of the times' stuff [and by this, picture a man with a flowing beard, in a robe with the sign that says "End of the world is upon us"], we will be discounted to even greater miniscule-ness than we already are.... LifeHiscost Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Read the post before you scorn it Neil. God Bless, Laslo Not sure Neil was scorning the advice, Laslo, but I am sure that the legislative halls are seeing the prerogatives of law being overridden by kneejerk reactions, mostly in the name of security since security is the one thing for which people in general will give up their constitutional rights and subsequently allow tyrannical powers in the hands of a few. This of course is being facilitated by elements of our society that are equally interested in restricting the full gospel being preached, denying it as "hate communication", doing just what the adversary has been very capable of doing down through the ages, accusing God's children as being responsible for the trouble that is coming upon the world. The ACLJ is an institution that seems to focus in on the reality of where we are now re: losing our civil and religious rights, although I'm more prone to follow the NARLA International as I believe it is more apt to strive for keeping the avenues open for the spreading of the gospel globally. That after all is what Jesus calls all Christians to support, whether or not we are professionals at it. "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come." Matthew 24:14 NASB BTW, out of 260 some nations, Seventh Day Adventists have now entered somewhere around 235 with the good news of the coming of Jesus. Those figures are not completely accurate but googling it will bring a person up to speed. "Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also."John 15:20 NKJV Good show, Laslo. God bless! Quote Lift Jesus up!!

About North American Religious Liberty Association - West and the Church State Council This web site is sponsored by the Church State Council, the oldest public policy organization in the western United States (Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah) devoted exclusively to issues of religious freedom. We combine advocacy in the courts and legislatures, with service to those experiencing religious liberty problems. We also pursue an aggressive communication strategy to provide education on First Amendment issues. As Seventh-day Adventists, we stand in the Reformation tradition of protesting the combination of church and state power to define or promote theological "truth," or to punish "error." We ask nothing of the state except that it protect religious freedom for all peaceful people of faith. We take our faith seriously, and we defend the right of others to take their own faith just as seriously. This site is co-sponsored by the North American Religious Liberty Association – West, with roots in the 19th century as the American Religious Liberty Association.
