Stan Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Up to 100 patients evacuated after fire March 26, 2009 - 6:47PM Up to 100 patients have been evacuated from a hospital after a fire broke out in an electrical room in Sydney's north. Between 50 and 100 patients were evacuated from the Sydney Adventist Hospital on Fox Valley Rd, Wahroonga about 4.30pm (AEDT), a NSW Fire brigades spokesman said. "It was a small fire in a switch room," the spokesman told AAP. "It was contained to that room and then extinguished." Eight fire crews were called to extinguish the fire and emergency patients were able to return to surgery soon after being evacuated, he said.
