Woody Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 This question was asked In advance of next week’s National Christian Resources Exhibition, where ethically-based home insurance will be discussed. Britain’s church-goers have voted with the result of more than one in four - the highest minority - believing that Jesus would still walk everywhere. Those who reckon he would choose to drive, think his chosen vehicle would be a Campervan. http://www.christiantoday.com/article/what.would.jesus.drive./6159.htm Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Members phkrause Posted March 28, 2009 Members Posted March 28, 2009 I think I'd go alone with that. He could have rode a donkey while here on earth but he didn't. He chose to walk everywhere. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

Woody Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 All I know is that we are ALL suppose to be in ONE ACCORD. (It might be a tight fit though) Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Members phkrause Posted March 28, 2009 Members Posted March 28, 2009 Not sure I agree with you. But that's only my opinion. If he came as he did 2000 yrs ago and for the same purpose, than I think he would still concentrate on a small area. And don't forget in to day's age he'd have the camera's following him and he wouldn't have to travel very far. Like I said before he had donkey's when he was here before but chose not to use this mode of transportation, so that he could widen his area of coveridge. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Woody Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 You disagree with me pk? It is Biblical. I will look it up. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Liz Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Uncle Red, you are way to punny. LOL Quote For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Mat. 16:26Please, support the JDRF and help find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Please, support the March of Dimes.
GreatLakesGramma Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 He was disagreeing with me. In the U.S., if you live in town, it's not so hard to walk everywhere. But when you live in the country, 10 miles from town and 25 miles from church, it's not an option. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. Woody Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Uncle Red, you are way to punny. LOL I may be punny but don't all me puny. For it's not funny to call one puny. You may be punier than we. For me ... Members phkrause Posted March 28, 2009 Members Posted March 28, 2009 I guess the title of the thread is What Would Jesus Drive not like I've been arguing Would Jesus Drive. So I guess I'll concede that he would probably drive. I still would say given a chose I think he would not drive. (had to get that in, ha) Because don't forget that Israel was pretty spread out, and he had to travel great distance's to go and get anywhere. But he still chose to walk anyway. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Woody Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Would Jesus drive or would He have someone drive Him? I think you know MY answer. Just look at my avatar. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Members phkrause Posted March 28, 2009 Members Posted March 28, 2009 Nice answer without really answering Redwood. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
GreatLakesGramma Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Jesus lived in a different time and age than we do. To speculate what He would drive if He were on earth now is actually pointless, but worse than useless if someone is going to use that to try to dictate what Christians should drive (or not drive). What you or I should do depends on our individual needs and circumstances. Regular public transportation isn't generally available in rural areas. Not everybody can afford to buy a hybrid. Not everybody feels safe driving on icy winter roads in a small car. Not everybody can transport their entire family, or carry all their groceries in small cars. Some people need the cargo capacity of an SUV or a pickup truck. Some need to tow trailers from time to time. To choose one kind of transportation to designate as the one and only that Jesus would use were he here on earth, suggest that every Christian conform to that idea, and look down on those who don't, or make them feel guilty, is not a very Christian thing to do. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Lewis
Neil D Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 ya'll think that Jesus would drive a car....one of you thinks that He would ride a bus.....but ya'll forgot that there's another mode of transpertation.... The motorcycle....[and it gets the best gas milage of all the cars and most hybrids...] Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
