Moderators Gerr Posted April 4, 2009 Moderators Posted April 4, 2009 And I did not even vote for the man! In fact, I did not vote at all during the last election, the first presidential election I've missed in memory. I've lost total respect and confidence in Washington. Quote

Dr. Shane Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Yes, this belongs in the political forum. I hardly consider Obama the death of the nation. He is still in his on-the-job training phase. We expected that when we elected a man with such little experience or qualifications - but look at the other option we had. I think his biggest blunders so far have been his Mexico policy and his attempt to tax donations given to charities. I am concerned about the union card check that he favors. I think that would be a blow to liberty. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Kountzer Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 I voted for Obama, I am african american. I find the photo a bit offensive, but nothing out of the norm for this forum. This country was and is heading down a slippery slope well before the current administration. I don't put my faith in this country anyway. Don't get me wrong, I love my country. My hope, our only hope, is in Jesus Christ, and being ready when He returns. Per bible prophecy America has a certain prominent role to play in current events. That role will be carried out no matter which party, or President is in power. The USA of the fifties and sixties is gone, never to return. As was mentioned in the thread today concerning the shootings in upstate New York: we have not seen anything yet. Last day events will be rapid. Hold on to your seats. DB That's why to get upset over some senseless viewpoints is doing battle with the devil, who I understand is a vanquished foe by Michael, the Prince. "But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince."Daniel 10:21 KJV "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book."Daniel 12:1 KJV Regards! But if you have the same sentiments, then, yes, they are also meant for you!!! And, yes, I am totally aware that the president is half white. But that is part of the historical racism in America. A person can be half Black, Brown, Yellow, or 1/4 anything, and that person is usually racially profiled by what that "other" is! And speaking of political philosphies, in case you haven't noticed, it is both political parties that has gotten our nation into the deep mess it's in! Moron with the stupid racial issues. Quote

IMO your statement has a lot of merit. I've known lots of people who 'look' like Obama, who are 1/2 white, or this or that, and 1/2 black, and they are profiled as black. That's the way it has been for centuries - up and until a half black president is in the white house. Now, all of a sudden the whole profile thing is thrown out. It's a headache trying to take all that in. But yes, your assessment of the situation is spot on. DB Quote I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. GreatLakesGramma Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Perhaps the tombstone make was thinking of the fact that Obama is such an extreme liberal, he's actually socialist, the antithesis of what the US was founded to be. Members phkrause Posted April 4, 2009 Members Posted April 4, 2009 I agree with you, I've said this for many years. On another thread I also mentioned that I don't believe that the government wants things to be really fixed.I mean either party, Democrats or republicans. I also knew right away what KeyGuy was saying with his post. It had nothing to do with the color of Obama, it had to do with the party that holds the office. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.
