What if...Can we save the world?

I was thinking, God gave Jonah a conditional prophecy. This means that, if there are good reasons, God can change his mind and pour out his love on his creatures.

Now, most of us grow up with the idea of good versus evil. Either you get to know the truth, you live up to the biblical standards and so become fit for heaven. If you happen to be the evil one you are supposed to die a terrible death and there is no second chance.

Now this warfare has come to a point where this world has been taken hostage. The adventist people are supposed to go out to the world and warn the people not to accept the mark of the beast. Those who ll receive that mark will receive terrible plagues.

Now i want to make clear that i recognise the fact that all of us human beings are born with a serious defect, called sin. Sin is not an act, sin is an attitude that s part of our natural existence. A christian life is therefore a struggle against our own nature and our ego.

Now i was thinking about an alternative in which nobody has to be lost, nobody will receive cheap grace and the truth will be restored.

I was thinking, what if the fallen angels allowed God to restore his church on earth. What if they allowed the catholic church to be reformed. Turn priests into counselors, get rid of false doctrines, get rid of the imaginary Gods, break the ties with the secret societies, give the pope a symbolical function etc. What if satan would allow this, then maybe God would change his mind about "his strange act" that he is about to perform in the end of times.

I was thinking, give those who for some reason have rebelled against God (either angels or humans) this choice. Either choose to be destroyed for the terrible things you have done, or follow a rehabilitation program in which you ll suffer exactly the amount of pain you ve caused unto others. Then after this program let God change your nature so you ll be cured for eternity. In this way we can save the world, even angels.

I think this alternative is better than the biblical concept of repent or be doomed and go to hell. What do you think?

I find it dangerous to question God on such a subject. God has given us sufficient evidence of his love. If we question him on this point, we are putting him on 'trial'. That's OK, he's been on trial for sometime, I'm not worried that God can't handle the question. You on the other hand, are now opening yourself up for doubt, which may lead to out and out turning your back on God. Please be careful.

Very interesting thought, but isn't that what we are doing now. And if we do start over, which will not happen, than like dgrimm asks, why did Jesus have to die for us?

If people reject Christ it is because a lack of knowledge, a lack of compassion and a lack of understanding. Think about it! Because of lies like the evolution theory, people have murdered millions of people in the gas chambers sadistically. What if camp guards knew that God created all men equal, that the different races of men were the result of superadaptation in the post-flood era when men still became very old and were not infected by sin physically as much as later generations. Then of course it is very unlikely that camp guards threw living babies into the fire. There were even some catholic camp guards doing this because they thought it was the will of God, they thought they did a good job.

This is just an example to stress the fact, though there might be some variety in the ways we develop, in essence we are all the same. Now a rehabilitation program would get rid of all the lies, misunderstandings and lack of compassion, then what s left is a human being, or angel, like he or she is supposed to be. This rehabilitation program is only meant for those people in the second resurrection who wouldn t have made it. It s the privilege of those who have accepted Christ in this life to skip that program, they are already fit for heaven and saw that in them dwells no good thing naturally. So here Christ his sacrifice was necessary. Secondly, a rehabilitation program is like doing good works, but good works can never save you. It demands a sacrifice to be made whole AFTER this rehabilitation program. When people or angels come out of that program they ll say they rather die than live on with the sinfull nature they've become. I think Christ would be capable of pouring out his mercy because he knows that, even though they did not accept him in the first place, they have paid a tremendous price.

Now, even if God would go along with this, do you think it would still happen? I mean we all know that satan has deceived angels into an hierarchy like some kind of dictatorship. Ultimately satan knows it is better to be destroyed with tremendous pains, than bearing all of the pain and hurt that he has done to the human family and God. Furthermore, wouldn t it be very weird to be in heaven next to satan, even though he might be changed, it just isn t right, is it? I think if satan genuinely repented he would lay down his existence at free will, because the pain he has inflicted is to shamefull to bear. Anyway, maybe this program is possible for those who are willing at the second resurrection, or those fallen angels who are relatively harmless and regret their decision to follow lucifer.

Hypothetically speaking, yes, we should be able to save the world.

But consider the following facts :

1. There will still be scoffers and naysayers, who will influence other people that there's nothing to worry about, and people will still continue their old ways.

2. We can only tell people of Jesus and the Bible, but we cannot force them to believe, they will have to make that choice themselves. Either they believe, or they don't.

3. Most people will still cling to worldly possessions, and not be prepared to give up worldly comforts at all.

4. Satan still is in this world.
