You can see more of her music (and live music)on You tube. She died of cancer in November 1996...so sad. Outta Here Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I absolutely adore Eva Cassidy. I found a CD of her artistry at the library and borrowed it for two weeks. Since that time, I've "reborrowed" it over and over again. My particular favorite is: Quote

olger Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Reginald Kenneth Dwight said that there were three perfect female voices in the world, and two of them were dead. Eva Cassidy Karen Carpenter Judith Durham, I think Reginald was right on that one (wrong about many other topics), og Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Administrators Gail Posted April 13, 2009 Administrators Posted April 13, 2009 Reginald Kenneth Dwight said that there were three perfect female voices in the world, and two of them were dead. olger Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Ah. Let me put it this way...You've heard of John Wayne, Rocky Marciano, Andrew Jackson, and Joe Louis..? Yes. Good men with good wrists. But old Reginald.....flaccid, stale, lackluster, insipid, tedious, and booooooooooooring...... But Eva still sings well, as does the indomitable Durham. Rejoice always, og Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
olger Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 and.. and... As you can see. There is a serious wrist problem. Olger rests his case and goes back to wiring the new shop. og Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."

Planey Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I can't really see why it was necessary to refer to him obliquely instead of by the name which he chooses to go by (and which most people know him by), Elton John. And why is it so difficult to say that he is gay (which he openly is - some of the photos posted show Elton with his "husband") instead of alluding to him being "limp-wristed", a fairly antiquated euphemism for gay. Oh well, different strokes... Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
