Cosmin M. Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I need some opinions. Please be rude if there is something you do not like. Be critics. Thanks. Quote
Woody Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Cosmin. I really like this new crisp and modern one very much. I would resist adding too much more. I like the simplicity. You may remember that I had concerns about the current one because it was so cluttered. Way to go. You get an A+ on this one. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Members phkrause Posted April 11, 2009 Members Posted April 11, 2009 Well cosmin its the Sabbath so I'll not be rude, I'll wait till after sundown. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Outta Here Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 This reminds me of an e.e. cummings poem: l(a le af fa ll s) one l iness Quote
Members phkrause Posted April 11, 2009 Members Posted April 11, 2009 OK, not sure what that is! hahahahaha pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Woody Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I guess it just shows our age dgrimm. These young ones have different ways of expressing themselves. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Joe_in_RP Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 One of things I like about the current banner is a bright smiling face in the center. It also shows people's personalities. I find it very warm and welcoming. If I were to do a new one I would look for face's that represent the whole church. Some young, Latino , Asian, and Black ones. After all this is 85% of the church. Members phkrause Posted April 11, 2009 Members Posted April 11, 2009 Oh so that's what that is! Thanks Redwood. hahahaha hehehehe hohohoho pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Outta Here Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 It has nothing to do with age. e.e. cummings, the author of the poem, was born in 1894 and died in 1962. This particular poem is one in which the author describes a feeling of loneliness. The banner submitted in this thread reminds me of the poem, as it reminds me of loneliness. Forgive me for not being more obvious in my expressionism. For those who do not understand what I was hoping to convey, here is how it might have read if it were written in a primer: The banner makes me feel lonely. Quote
Members phkrause Posted April 11, 2009 Members Posted April 11, 2009 Thanks Aubrey. Appreciate the info. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

Morning Glory Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 What happened to the layout button?? I was checking out the options, and got stuck on "winter" which I am not crazy about. How do I get it back?? Morning Glory Quote Kindness is the oil that takes the friction out of life.

Morning Glory Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 That is the problem! The only thing on the lower left of my screen is the bar that has "Forum Rule and Mark All as read". Where's the layout button??? MG Quote Kindness is the oil that takes the friction out of life.
Woody Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Right next to 'Mark ALL Read' Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Morning Glory Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Nope, it's not there. Quote Kindness is the oil that takes the friction out of life.
Woody Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 I knew there was a reason I've wondered about you. Ha ha Well then ... I think you can do it under preferences. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Moderators LynnDel Posted April 12, 2009 Moderators Posted April 12, 2009 WARNING: If you try out Winter, you get stuck there. The options don't show any more once you're in Winter. The only way I was able to get back is that I had another tab open with a previous scheme. The new banner looks fabulous with the Winter scheme, however. DON'T TRY WINTER! It's like reliving The Secret Garden. LD Quote LD
