guibox Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 In the wonderful words of a the wonderful song, 'Easter Song' as sung by Glad: Hear the bells ringing their singing that you can be born again Hear the bells ringing their singing Christ is risen from the dead The angels up on the tombstone said 'He is risen just like He said' Quickly now, go tell the disciples that Jesus Christ is no longer dead' Praise to the Lord, He is risen, Alleluia! Dottie Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 I started a new thing with my boy today. Instead of "Easter," I called the day, "Resurrection Day," so that he would understand that it's not all about chocolate bunnies!! Yes, he got the whole Biblical story. Our Easter us usually celebrated by going to SAU to see "Sonrise." We didn't go this year, because we will be going up there the first week of May for something else. Quote
Members phkrause Posted April 13, 2009 Members Posted April 13, 2009 I've been doing that for a number of years now. I like that better than calling it Easter. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

guibox Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Oops. I goofed on the chorus. It should be 'Joy to the world, He is risen...' Quote www.corbel.theacaistory.com
Cosmin M. Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I click on the link o this thread really mad. Why? Cause I thought, by reading the title, that you were going to say that Jesus has come to Earth and you see Him. "All eyes shall see." Quote
aldona Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 As our Orthodox friends greet one another... "Jesus is risen!" "He is risen, indeed." Except for our Orthodox friends, Jesus doesn't rise until next Sunday. Cause I thought, by reading the title, that you were going to say that Jesus has come to Earth and you see Him. "All eyes shall see." LOL How did you get "Jesus is coming" out of "Jesus is risen"? Members phkrause Posted April 14, 2009 Members Posted April 14, 2009 I believe thou that this is the correct weekend. Because this is the passover weekend. I know that passover doesn't always come on a weekend. And easter doesn't always come at the same time as passover. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
