Paul says to the Galatians: "...Received you the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?" What is "the hearing of faith"? Is it listening to God's Word? To testimony time? What sayeth thou? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Personally I think it is Scripture, for the Bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Does that sound reasonable? In the case of the foolish Galatians, though, Paul is inferring that they received it through the "hearing with(by) faith" I'm just wondering about an application in our day, and that is why I asked if the "hearing with faith" is listening to the Word. Would that happen when you would sit down to read/study/meditate on God's Word as well? I think quite possibly!
