Dr. Shane Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Looks like Levi has more class than Larry. Quote: KING: Where -- was -- did sex occur in their house? LEVI JOHNSTON, EX-FIANCE OF BRISTOL PALIN, FATHER OF BRISTOL'S SON, TRIPP: You know, Larry, that I'm a gentleman, you know. And I don't, you know, kiss and tell. So, you know, I don't think that really -- that really matters. I mean... KING: And how about the part, though, that -- well, first you said you practiced safe sex most of the time, right? L. JOHNSTON: Right. KING: Most of the time. [This is not intended to a political thread. One never knows the direction a thread may go but the intent is not political. Since it is in Townhall, we should try to keep it non-political.] Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Woody Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Larry has never been known for his 'class'. And that is as 'nonpolitical' as I can get. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
carolaa Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 A tasteless and pointless interview, I say. Quote
Planey Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Who is Larry King and why does he matter? Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Members phkrause Posted April 24, 2009 Members Posted April 24, 2009 Larry King works for CNN. He does interviews. He's alright. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
carolaa Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 You should google him, Planey. The guy's had 5 wives and 5 heart attacks. (OK, don't quote me - I'm remembering off the top of my head here and it's almost bedtime.) Quote
Dr. Shane Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 He use to be much more influential than he is today. At one time CNN was king of cable news and Larry King was at the top of their ratings. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Planey Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Having taken Carolaa's advice and Googled him, the second part of my question remains: Why does he matter? Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Dr. Shane Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 Pop culture. As Christians we must be in the world but not of the world. We need to be aware of the culture we live in. Larry King is one of the "talking heads" in the US. He is not as influential as he once was but is certainly not irrelevant. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Moderators Gerr Posted April 24, 2009 Moderators Posted April 24, 2009 You should google him, Planey. The guy's had 5 wives and 5 heart attacks. (OK, don't quote me - I'm remembering off the top of my head here and it's almost bedtime.) I never knew these before, but I've never been able to stand his show for more than a minute before I switch channels and I couldn't quite put my finger why. Maybe I was subconsciously feeling those traits that perhaps led to 5 wives? Quote
carolaa Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I was thinking that maybe the 5 wives caused the 5 heart attacks. (OK, I really do need to check my facts on this gossip.) Quote
GreatLakesGramma Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 According to Wikipedia, he has been married 7 times, to 6 different wives. carolaa Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Did it say how many heart attacks? Apparently, some of the wives caused more trouble than others. Quote
LifeHiscost Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Did it say how many heart attacks? Apparently, some of the wives caused more trouble than others. And I thought the mobile court I live in was king of gossip, no pun intended. Regards! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
