Dr. Shane Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Today on the Dave Ramsey show he made the comment that porn addiction leads to financial ruin and as a financial counselor he has seen it hundreds of times. He went on to say that the porn industry in the US earns more than six times the revenue than all professional sports combined. That includes the NFL, MLB, NBA, Nascar, PGA and NHL. More than six times! That is a lot of money. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

carolaa Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 It would be one thing if the people who do most of the hard work were the ones to benefit financially. But, as with most businesses, I doubt they are. A few probably, but not many. Quote

Then your earthly world becomes rich as well :) Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
bonnie Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 It would be one thing if the people who do most of the hard work were the ones to benefit financially. But, as with most businesses, I doubt they are. A few probably, but not many. Why do you seem to believe that a business starts up so the business owner can work for less or same as his employees. Have you any idea of the work a employer goes thru before he/she is successful? The employee works 8-10 hours a day. Five days a week, overtime pay for more. The employer works 6-7 days week,12-14 hours a day. He is the last one paid. It is his family that goes without if work is slow. My brother has made a great deal of money. He started a steel erection company. All he had to begin with was a strong work ethic and good credit. Everything was mortgaged and depended on his success, including his home. Both he and his wife worked 6-7 days a week for years. They had employees to worry about, they had to hustle any job opportunity that came along. They still work more hours than their employees. Their employees work hard a regular work week and go home and forget about it. Why should their employees get more than they? While my brother is not union, most construction is. Employee's get paid according to contract. Those that work for my brother that give the extra mile get paid the extra mile. Opening and running a business is more risk than guarantee, employee''s take no risk. Employee's do not have responsibility for any but their own family. If their employer's fail, they have lost a job, and required to find another. The employer is many times in danger of losing all. Those that believe that employer's don't pay enough it might be a good idea for the employee to begin his own business. That way he can sacrifice and open a business. One where he pays the ones that actually do the hard work Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman
