Key Guy Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 From the Solomon Star online http://solomonstarnews.com/index.php?opt...8&Itemid=26 Quote: SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST (SDA)in Honiara will witness one of the biggest Bibles arriving in the country tomorrow. The 18 inch long and 12 inch wide Bible is printed in many languages. It will arrive from Vanuatu as part of campaign initiated by the General Conference of the SDA church called “Follow the Bible”. The campaign was agreed upon in October to allow Adventists to go back to their Bibles and study God’s word as the world continues to witness unfolding events. The idea came about after survey conducted by the church on its members, found that most of them have never read their Bible. Solomon Islands Mission (SIM), which will host the Bible for four days have urged members to witness the arrival and be part of the parade. An evening church service will be held at the Kukum SDA Church to encourage members to go back to the Bible and study the word. On Wednesday, the Bible travels to Gizo in Western Province for its members to see. A service is planned later in the evening. It returns on Thursday and leaves for Tonga on Friday. The huge Bible is visiting 13 Divisions of the SDA Church in all countries around the world since last year. It has most of the languages printed in that bible. Pidgin English was printed in the book of John. Quote
