Taylor Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I am taking an online class which includes making databases etc in Access and currently I am stuck on an assignment which is due Sunday night. If you know about Access can you pm me your email address or phone number and see if you can help me with this assigment? Thanks! Quote
Woody Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Too deep for me. I'm rather ignorant on that subject. But if you start callin' me an 'ignorant ....' then I would object. No name callin' 'round here. And I know you wouldn't. Hey ... it is good to see you here. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Taylor Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 :) Yes I have been very busy lately and hardly ever on here. I am just hoping to find an expert on Access to help me with where I am stuck on this assignment. Have a wonderful Sabbath Redwood! Quote
Members phkrause Posted May 8, 2009 Members Posted May 8, 2009 That includes calling yourself names also Redwood. Have a good Sabbath. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Cosmin M. Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I am not so great with Access but if you need some pointers for Excel I could give you a one or two. http://allenbrowne.com/tips.html Try that link. It might help. Quote
Planey Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 But if you start callin' me an 'ignorant ....' then I would object. No name callin' 'round here. How could calling someone "ignorant" be construed as name-calling? "Ignorant" just means a lack of knowledge. For instance, if I asked some of you a question about second order differential equations, after you confessed your lack of knowledge I could quite correctly (and without malice of any kind) say "Oh, you're ignorant in that area, eh?" Get a thicker skin, Redwood. Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Members phkrause Posted May 9, 2009 Members Posted May 9, 2009 I agree with what you just said about ignorant! But there are plenty of people that use that term, with a different purpose or intent. So unfortunately it can be used for bad, even though I do agree of what this word really means. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

Get a thicker skin, Redwood. Graeme I called myself "ignorant". Perhaps you didn't read my post well enough. What I said was wrong would be if someone called me "an" ignorant .... (meaning blank blank blank or another word following "an ignorant". But anyways ... I don't need a thicker skin when it comes to name calling. Name calling simply has no place on a Christian Forum. Perhaps you might be more comfortable with some of the non-Christian Forums. There's plenty of nasty and vulgar name calling there. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Planey Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I was not condoning name-calling. I was just suggesting that your definition of the term may be much too wide. As in thinking "ignorant" fits the bill. There are probably many other terms which may be used in innocence and with no malicious intent which some thin-skinned person could (wrongly, IMHO) call "name-calling". Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Woody Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I never said 'ignorant' fits the bill. I called myself ignorant. But what I did say was that the name calling that FOLLOWED the word ignorant was not acceptable. Not sure why you continue to fabricate an issue here.
