Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted May 12, 2009 Administrators Posted May 12, 2009 They are a group originating in Germany that split from the Seventh-day Adventist Church during WWI over the issue of military service. The SDA Church leadership in Germany advocated military service and a segment of the German SDA Church were pacifists and opposed serving in the military. Ironically this group did not rejoin the denomination after the SDA Church affirmed and supported conscientious objection to bearing arms and combat service. Currently this splinter group claims to have 35,000 followers today and their headquarters are in Roanoke Virginia. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)
