When God told man not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and that in the day he eats of that tree he would die, God started the clock for the ratio of human years for the length of His day. Chapter four says that Adam begat sons, and it is possible that this was about 100 years after creation. And this was after the eating of the poison tree. So, Adam ate the forbidden fruit at about 100 years, and then lived to be 930. That would mean that a day to God is at least 830 years. At 830 years Adam was still in the day of the death prophecy. That means God's day is more than 830 human years. So I'm just going to round it off to 1,000 and say, 1,000 years to us is a day to God. Since this is a homily, and not exegesis, I might as well accept archbishop Ussher's chronology, and say the Earth is about 6,000 human years old, which means that to God, the millennium we are in now is God's seventh-day. We clearly believe that The advent will be within this millennium, and that makes God a -------

Seventh-day Adventist.

Say what?

God does not subscribe to a religion no matter how much the SDA church and Ellen wish He would.

"You may not agree with everyone. But if you are an honest man, when someone says something you disagree with it’ll drive you to the Word. If you find out that you were wrong and change your thinking then you are the better for it. If you go to the Word and find out that you were right then you have been strengthened. But either way always go to the Word!!” Billye Brim

I thought at least a couple of people on this forum would chuckle when they read it.

Interesting thought oldsailor29. I'm also guessing that the 29 on your forum name means that your 29, but looking at your image I'd say that that's still to old. :):) hahahahaha

Thanks PK, but I'm way past 29. Somewhere along the line I Learned how to play Cribbage. It is a card game which requires the players to add quickly in their heads, up to the total of 31. 29 is the score of a perfect hand, and it is seldom seen. Some people play Cribbage all their lives and never see a 29 hand. It is a rarity. It is rarer than a hole in one. I have seen two 29 hands, and one of them was mine. That's all it means. Although it was in a previous millennium, I had a perfect hand in Cribbage.

Not surprised that some couldn't figure it out. I made some errors when I was writing it. But if you will point out the parts which do not make sense, I will try to clear it up.

Here is an edited version -
