Homeschoolers of the world, BE ENCOURAGED!

[Gail]

Last weekend my son Kevin graduated with his master's in International Development. While there he was offered a teaching job at the university (Eastern, in Pennsylvania) for Accounting for Microfinance.

Homeschoolers make good post-secondary students! If anyone tries to ask you how they will get into university just tell them this story about Kev.

[Liz]

Congratulations!!!! You must be sooo proud.

[Gail]

Yes, I am! The children have gone well beyond what I ever hoped or dreamed :)

[Dottie]

That's wonderful!! A lot of students are graduating and unable to find jobs.

[Planey]

That's really impressive, Gail. A great result.

Talking about homeschooling, I believe that it would prepare the student even more for post-graduate work at tertiary level. Studying for a Masters/Doctorate a scholar is left largely to work individually, producing a thesis which usually involves their own research. It seems to me that homeschooling involves many of the same type of skills.

Congratulations to Kevin! A job well done, Gail!
