Outta Here Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Stan, I'm pretty sure it just means Adventist. Quote
GreatLakesGramma Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 The Spanish word for Adventist is "adventista." I googled it, and from what I found it looks like adventistan may be a plural form. I do not know the language well enough to know that for sure though. Some of the references that came up aren't Spanish. Some look like they may be Portuguese, some other languages. Dottie Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 The eastern European countries that end in "...stan," such as Kurdistan, etc., are saying that this is the 'country' of Kurds, Afghans, Turks, etc. Therefore, Adventistan would be a country of Adventists. :) Quote

Stan Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 We are pleased to announce that Μαρκαριοσ Αλανοποσ, a Greek pastor, evangelist and administrator has been elected Union Mission President. His evangelistic work among immigrant populations is highly regarded where he has worked throughout the world. Although his name is virtually unknown in North American circles, Αλανοποσ impressed the committee with his breadth of experience. When he finds time for relaxation Αλανοποσ enjoys amateur beekeeping. Ted Oplinger Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Hey! I know that guy Μαρκαριοσ! A personal friend of my pastor... Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. When ever I go to the website, I don't see much there...just a few comments which appear non-sense-ical....Somebody, please, clue me in... Ted Oplinger Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 That's easy, Neil - it's a country of Adventists (presumably located somewhere in East Europe?). Founded by the pioneer going by the name [Adventist Stan] Jensen. The president of the new union out there is a personal friend of my pastor...
