Woody Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Thank you. Those were good. My step son is out on a sub right now. Servin' our country. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Planey Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I went to the link. Wonderful photography, nice music, but I didn't get the effect suggested by the title. My heart is still the cold hard little pebble it has always been. Sorry. Woody Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I'm sorry for you Graeme. Will be praying that your pebble will soften and warm up a bit. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Planey Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Maybe if it was pictures of the Australian Navy - you know, two row boats and a canoe... Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Woody Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Yes, I am sure that would soften up your hard cold stoned pebble. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Planey Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I didn't say stoned, but now that you mentioned it... what the hey... Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Woody Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Most 'pebbles' are stone. teehe Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Planey Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 A "cold hard little pebble" is a stone. It is not stoned. And neither am I. Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Key Guy Posted May 21, 2009 Author Posted May 21, 2009 Maybe if it was pictures of the Australian Navy - you know, two row boats and a canoe... Graeme That was funny! I had the pleasure of meeting some Aussie Air Force fighter jet pilots. Great guys! They can defend me anytime. Quote
Woody Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 A "cold hard little pebble" is a stone. It is not stoned. And neither am I. Graeme According to Webster ... a pebble can be 'stoned' –verb (used with object) to provide, fit, pave, line, face or fortify with stones. to rub (something) with or on a stone, as to sharpen, polish, or smooth. I think some pebbles do need to be polished or smoothed. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Planey Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I had never heard that usage of "stoned"! That is cool - I will remember that so's I can drop it into conversation at some (in)appropriate time. Woody Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Yes cool huh. I know though where your mind was. That is understandable. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
