Robert Posted May 25, 2009 Author Posted May 25, 2009 And things haven't changed, have they? view me view me view me Controversial?, yes. So Paul was right: Romans 3:14 "Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness." 15 "Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16 ruin and misery mark their ways, 17 and the way of peace they do not know." 18 "There is no fear of God before their eyes." 19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world become guilty before God. 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin [our bent-towards-self]. Robert Posted May 25, 2009 Author Posted May 25, 2009 HEY ROBERT WELL with out JESUS in our lives we are a selfish people.... dgrimm60 With Jesus in our lives we are less selfish, otherwise Romans 3:23 is untrue. For example, one could keep the law outwardly, but for self-centered reasons. Such as, a reward (heaven) to look good in front of the church fear of God, etc. etc.... Quote
Robert Posted May 25, 2009 Author Posted May 25, 2009 So then, we are both sinners and saints? Of ourselves, sinners...in Christ saints. I agree, Rob Quote
