Liz Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 The Mission Spotlight, was hysterical---"we need to teach them to bathe, they are sadly misinformed in this area." ROFL!! The other trailer looks good, I will be watching for this one to come out. Quote For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? carolaa Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Thanks for sharing that clip, Amelia. Do you know when this movie is coming out? I've heard of it before. I honestly don't know if I want to see it or not. I've heard that most of the food we eat is hardly even food, but more like "edible food-like substances." Quote
Amelia Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I believe it opens June 9th Quote <p><span style="color:#0000FF;"><span style="font-weight:bold;"><span style="font-style:italic;">"Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you."</span></span> Eph 4:29</span><br><br><img src="http://banners.wunderground.com/weathersticker/gizmotimetemp_both/US/OR/Fairview.gif" alt="Fairview.gif"> Fairview Or</p>

GreatLakesGramma Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I visit very few aisles in the grocery store. About half (or more)of the food I bring home, by volume, is from the produce section. carolaa Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 That's about as good as you can do. But the movie talks about produce as well. Quote
GreatLakesGramma Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I actually buy more of our food at the health food store than the grocery store. carolaa Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Is that mostly organic produce? I wonder how much of that is genetically modified. That's one reason I do want to see the movie. Quote
Dr. Rich Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Ha Ha Ha LOL! Now that is a great "Mission Spotlight" Thanks for sharing this. Quote
GreatLakesGramma Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Carolaa, all produce at the health food store is organic. Unfortunately, being a small town store, the proprietor is limited in what she can carry. She has to buy whole cases, and will lose a lot of money if only a small portion of the case sells before it goes bad. I get other organic produce from the grocery store, which has a few things she doesn't. I do also buy some non-organic produce, but only items on the least contaminated end of the spectrum, or those which are too prohibitively expensive to buy organic. Genetically modified crops are excluded from organic certification. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Lewis
