Tiller has been among the few U.S. physicians performing late-term abortion. His clinic has repeatedly been the site of protests for about two decades. The Wichita Eagle was reporting on its Web site, Kansas.com, that Tiller, 67, was shot just after 10 a.m. at Reformation Lutheran Church, where he was a member of the congregation. Has to be a little bent in the head to believe that kind of action will accomplish anything. Surprising that it hasn't happened sooner with the reputation this man has. Interestingly, he did not start out doing abortions, but after being educated on the plight of women around the world, particularly those in poverty, he decided it was the right thing to do, and he saved many women's lives. He was so courageous for many years, defying bombings and other vandalism, being shot prior to this, braving the obnoxious "summer of mercy," finally hiring bodyguards and security, but never giving in to the bullies. If you read the procedures he used it is nothing short of barbaric. If the mother's life and long term health were the factor he sure took a long way around to bring about a dead baby. This was a procedure that lasted several days,beginning with the injecting a drug into a VIABLE baby to kill it and then a drawn out procedure to allow the mother to dilate ,then inducing labor. How could the mother's health be so fragile that they carry the child up to 8 1/2 months,have baby killed,wait a couple of days for the dilation procedure then give birth naturally to a dead baby after being induced. How does the killing of this baby become anything but infanticide? bonnie Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 One so called abortion that has been documented resulted in a live baby. The good Dr missed the heart for the injection of the drug to kill the baby. Hit one side of her face. She was born blind and mentally handicapped. A nurse and her husband adopted the little one and named her Sarah. Sarah lived for a few years and died because of what had been done. No matter what side of the abortion issue someone is on it is blame tough to condone the killing of a baby at 8 1/2 months. My son was born at 7 months and he was a real live little human being at that stage. Able to survive and grow to adulthood. How in God's name could someone tell me that I could deliberately have him killed because he may not be perfect? If that was not a baby when she was injected with the drug to terminate whatever she was,why not simply smother her after she is born. Robert Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 This man lived for his flesh....He didn't have a besetting sin...he practiced murder and he did it for money. That's a hired killer in my book. I can see why someone would think that it was his duty to stop the doc, but I can't agree with that conclusion. I mean think of it this way: If you had a gun and a mad man was attacking a small child with a knife what you would do? If you don't shoot the guy he is going to kill the kid. If you do you save his/her life. Now think in terms of abortion and you can see where these folks cross the line....It seems logical. The reason I don't agree with the murder of these murderers is because Christ said, "He who lives by the sword dies by the sword." He said, "Agape your enemies".... We look at the holocaust and say, “Boy, I don’t know how those Germans could do it.” The reason they did it is because they turned their backs to God. When Hitler turned his back to God, then you have unrighteousness. And folks, when this country turns its back to God, we in America are capable of doing exactly what Hitler did. Think about it....Abortion, as birth control, is saying that sexual gratification is more important than human life. If you have sex with a woman and she gets pregnant give her 500 bucks and get rid of the problem. That is pure selfishness...it's evil. Rob Quote
