I had a professor once that said something to this effect. That some men can actually be XXX, and that they have lots of aggression. That they will either be football players or criminals because they need to get that aggression out somehow. It also occurred in females but I can't remember if it was XXY or XYY, maybe both happened? And I can't remember if it made them more feminine or more aggressive or again, maybe it was both depending on which way it went? Men would be either XXY or XYY, and the girls would be XXX. And it would be the ones with two Y's that would be the aggressive ones. Planey Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 A normal child receives one each of the sex chromosomes from each parent. As a mother has XX chromosomes and the father has XY, then it is a bout 50/50 whether the baby ends up as XX or XY. Their may be times where an abnormality occurs and an extra chromosome is attached (making 47 chromosomes in each cell). Thus we could have XXY (usually a male), XYY or XXX. Note that all of these are definite abnormalities and may require some treatment at various times, often hormonal therapies.
