Stan Posted July 15, 2009 Author Posted July 15, 2009 The whole report was posted on www.Adventistan.com it seems like the longer people are married the more they age. One couple that was married 80 years, well, you could hardly recognize them from their pre-marriage photos.. I know for myself, that if you look at me before I had kids, and after I had kids, there is a lot of difference.. therefore kids really age a person. It is Science, facts are facts.. Neil D Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Ah, yes...but you realize that this has been studied by others in various facets from the 1980s, don't you? I just saw "Bill Cosby, Himself'...A movie on life, specifically, his talk/lecture on his family life as a PE Teacher, raising children. He also talks of his wife, who was a pschology major in college. They were intellectuals pre-children....they were very much into "natural child birth" before the birth of children....However, they had a "set back" before the immediate birth of thier first child. His wife, insisted, just prior to giving birth...well, to quote her- "Give me morphine, and give it to me NOW"..... He also talks of how his wife, who had a face like this :-) , eventually evolved and her face when like :-( ... Truely an amazing piece of evidence that showed that there is evolution....and that children were a causative factor... BTW, Mr. Cosby no longer calls himself an intellectual, now.... There must be more at play here than kids or getting married though, because I actually know people who have never married and never had children, and they have gotten old and their faces lined and wrinkled, too. Members phkrause Posted July 15, 2009 Members Posted July 15, 2009 Interesting Neil, that would be a mark against evolution, ha, because doesn't it teach that we are getting better and not worse. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted July 17, 2009 Moderators Posted July 17, 2009 I think this quotation is just pulling our legs. LIVING causes aging. There's no disputing that fact! Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional....
Neil D Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Interesting Neil, that would be a mark against evolution, ha, because doesn't it teach that we are getting better and not worse. pk My understanding of evolution is that organisms evolve...not necessarily for the betterment of the orgainism, but as a way to adapt to the environment....and to survive....not necessarily thrive... ....thus, evolving parents... ....and grandparents thrive around children....another evidence of evolution...
