True-believer Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Well i don t really feel like i ve got something to lose. Rather die for something than live for nothing. I am willing to take the risk and i won t ever regret my decision even if i die. Otherwise afterwards i will always wonder whether i had it in me to become a champion. Boxing is my psychology. I am able to use my sadness, depression and anger and canalise and turn myself into a fighting machine. Hey John that Angie guy is really special. I mean when he was 47 he fought against cassius clay. Furthermore i believe he also won from Rocky Marciano. Man i wish he would train me... You have nothing to lose except maybe your life, remember boxing is a very dangerous sport--and many people have lost their lives from it----they could be either burning in hell or in heaven or soulsleeping until Jesus 2nd Coming, I believe it is healthy to keep a open mind about it, the Bible speaks about both. Quote Luke 4:19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Guest truthseeker007 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Olger you are right. Marciano was undefeated. But Archie was one of the two prof. boxers ever who hit Marciano to the ground. Quote
Robert Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I see nothing wrong with combining boxing with Christianity ....Heck, let's also combine porn with Christianity..... I tell ya, the flesh is crafty....It comes up with all sorts of excuses why one should indulge the flesh.....Boxing is brutality...it does not come from God.... Quote
Robert Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I still have major problems thinking of prize fights as a Christian activity. Blessings Nan It's not....It's about who is # 1....IT's about who the greatest....It's iniquity....It's glory for me....It's brutal....It comes from the world, but then again so does football....Now I'm steppin on toes.... Your wrong Robert, because boxing does come from God---well from Jesus Christ Himself. Remember at the Crucifixion of Jesus, the devil got boxed out of heaven and sent down to this earth to roam from that point onwards. Jesus won the boxing tournament between Himself and Satan. Jesus score: 1 Satan score: 0 Jesus wins. Quote Luke 4:19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

I can't stand watching sports. It also bugs me to see sheep idolize athletes instead of focusing on their own talents. Quote

When i met with Mohammed Ali, his body guards told me they were both Adventist. One other one who had Aids came back home to the adventist church. And a few more..
