Dr. Shane Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 From the news, I understand the North Koreans had said they would release the reporters if Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter came over to get them. Bill Clinton stepped up to the task. The story seems to have had a good ending. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
BobRyan Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Interestingly - Jimmy Carter saved Clinton's bacon with North Korea - by going there at the exact moment that Clinton was planning to launch a full scale attack on the North. It was Clinton's turn to go to N.K and provide the much needed photo opp for the dictator. I think "the Dear Leader" (as the N. Koreans are trained to call him) has some form of fatal cancer (pancreatic cancer) and is in need of some kind of legacy other than starving his people by the millions. Bill Clinton for his part needed some kind of better "last memory" than a Lewinsky-esk event. In any case the victims were released - so that is something to be thankful for - in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." BobRyan Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 That depends - Were they wearing blue dresses? Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." COL 316.
BobRyan Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I probably should not have posted that Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." COL 316.
