Stan Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Just read that some are considering passing a Hate Crime bill on the unprovoked attacks on the homeless. Thoughts? Members phkrause Posted August 8, 2009 Members Posted August 8, 2009 I thought that this was something already in place! No? pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Dr. Shane Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 I know of a lot of cases when homeless people have attacked others. A lot of the homeless are mentally ill or drug addicted so the chances of them attacking other people is rather high. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Joe_in_RP Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 There are many laws that have passed the US House that need to pass the US Senate. They are some terrible things in those laws that will dramatically reduce liberty including religious liberty in America. The are just waiting for an "event" to rush them through. Quote

Joe_in_RP Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 First one Neil is HR 2454 Cap and Trade, has already passed the house. Quote: In the 220 years of our republic, there may have been worse pieces of legislation enacted by Congress than the Waxman-Markey bill, but none readily comes to mind. The Senate needs to take a stand and stop this disastrous act from passing into law. Robert Zubrin Quote
there buster Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 "Hate crime" bills of every sort are pernicious. Prosecuting and punishg people because of what they think is the essence of totalitarianism. Quote “the slovenliness of our language makes it easier to have foolish thoughts.” George Orwell
Joe_in_RP Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Quote: Now what of this inspection business? Yes, the cap and trade bill that passed through congress allows for somebody from the government to come into your house and inspect your windows, appliances, A/C, furnace, and anything else that you can think of to make sure your house is on par with the new national building codes. Not only will they inspect your house, but they will then be able to mandate that you, the seller, provide the necessary remedies regardless of cost, within a certain amount of time BEFORE YOU MAY SELL YOUR OWN HOUSE. http://www.examiner.com/x-13430-Sarpy-County-Conservative-Examiner~y2009m6d30-Cap-and-trade-allows-strangers-to-enter-your-home-do-you-meet-the-national-building-code-standards Quote

Joe_in_RP Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Quote: You Tube has expanded its zealous copyright crusade by suspending the popular C-Span Junkie user channel, and in doing so has pulled hundreds of viral Ron Paul videos, which are now completely dead. The C-Span Junkie user channel, a non-partisan archive of short clips taken from C-Span broadcasts of events in the Congress and the Senate, has been the home of the vast majority of You Tube videos you have seen of Bernanke, Geithner, Paulson and others being confronted in Congress, as well as Ron Paul’s speeches on the House floor. A total of more than 6400 videos in all have been pulled, hundreds of which featured the Texan Congressman. Whether or not C-Span itself requested that You Tube pull the channel is not known, but it is clearly in the public interest and constitutes fair use to show a clip less than 10 minutes in length of what the people who are supposedly our Representatives are saying in Congress on our behalf. As we have highlighted before, You Tube arbitrarily suspends accounts based on flimsy copyright claims that aren’t even properly investigated. They have started their fall attack. This is just the very beginning. No one will believe me if I tell you their battle plan. You will have to see it for yourself unfold. Get close to God. Get rid of your TV. Quote
there buster Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Quote: BUT when it comes to protecting GOD'S true followersthere will be no hate crime bills pasted IN Canada, a hate crime law has already been used to prosecute Christians. One printer refused to print business cards for a gay advocacy group. He was taken to court and fined. A pastor was prosecuted for quoting the Bible.
