ChildofChrist Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 We are told in The Book, to forgive those that hate and abuse us. What happens if that need awakens only many years after their death? Quote Wakan Tanka Kici Un ~~Child of Christ~~
olger Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 You release them in the same way that you would if they were alive. You tear up the note of debt that you hold against them. You also forgive God, if any part of you blames Him for the experience. This must be done from the heart, not intellectually. Forgiveness is costly - it is one person agreeing to pay the price for the pain that another has caused them. This is the path to freedom, and if released from the heart it will allow you to see the experience from the perspective of heaven/truth. God then replaces the painful memory with compassion for our wounder. We won't forget, but we can see the negative experience in a positive biblical way. God never wastes pain. g Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
