GreatLakesGramma Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 The best way to find something would be to do a search on the internet. But there is no free ride on the internet, any more than anywhere else. Unless they can find someone who's hiring employees who will work online at home, they may have to make a significant investment of both time and money, possibly for months, before ever seeing a return. Moderators Bravus Posted August 17, 2009 Moderators Posted August 17, 2009 There are lots of scams, as well, so it's seeking the real things: if it seems to good to be true it probably is. I know people do make money buying and selling on eBay, but like anything it takes work and organisation and knowing your market. For the kind of money you're talking about, some kind of piecework sewing or something similar that they could do at home might be better. Or do they do 'family day care' in the US/Canada? When our girls were small and Sue was working we sometimes had people who cared for 1-2 additional children in their own homes. There were government checks for suitability, and that was a good option for our kids and good for mums working at home. Hope these are helpful ideas... Quote Truth is important

Liz Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I, too, would stick with the tried and true things--Avon, Home Interiors that sort of thing. I know that one friend of mine that did sell Avon put a webpage up so that she didn't have to do parties. Quote For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Amelia Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I was doing ok with ebay when I didn't have to work. But like anything, you have to soend money to make money. You also have to be diligent. Not something where you can sit back and expect money to roll in. carolaa Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Tell them to do some research into couponing. They might be able to save close to that much per month just by learning how to spend more strategically on groceries. They can go to couponmom.com or watch some of the videos on YouTube that talk about it. Quote
