Your claim is highly doubtful. Explain the polls,Obama and cronies are dropping in every week. Explain the 60,000 AARP admits have resigned their membership.AARP is comprised of mostly democrats . Wonder what their problem is. Every area concerning Obama's popularity and the trust the country had in him is severely affected. One thing I find interesting is those that support this bill. I don't believe most even know what is in there. They only know it came out of the mouth of the "annointed one" There will always be those that give the verbal genuflect when the hero speaks. Summary of the U.S. Healthcare Reform Initiative The dining room tables really don't care,but you are seeing many that voted for Obama have a problem being equated to a hunk of wood. I hope that Barney Frank and those like him keep up the demeaning remarks. I hope that Obama keeps dismissing those that are speaking out as chatter and he doesn't want to hear from them. Not one can answer a question in a straight forward manner. Assurances that non supporters are taking out of context isn't selling so well anymore. Many do not have a theological reason for being opposed to this takeover by Obama, but they are not blind and mesmerized by Obama. But I do think it will pass,maybe only a foot in the door, but that will be enough. Our freedoms will continue to be eroded no matter what we do. Medicare/medicaid is broke,Social security will be in two years. Cash for clunkers is a mess. Car dealers all over have not been paid or have received less than 2% of what is promised. The stimulus is a bust if you read beyond the soothing words of Obama. But never fear these are the people that are going to control something as critical as your health care. Why are we still in Iraq,in his campaign didn't the "annointed one" promise something different. Warrantless wire taps is looking pretty good to Obama to isn't it. It was on TV and my husband was listening to. Could have been FOX. I have been trying to find one sentence from Obama concerning the black man in a wheelchair that ended up in emergency room. He was injured at a town hall meeting. No "stupid remarks' coming from the "annointed one". That must have been a black man that was not kissing the hand of Obama. Also a little curious about this supposed militia man with the gun at the town hall with Obama. The left wing media should have been all over that. By now we should have had his history back to the womb. Remember Joe the Plumber and what happened to him for having the audacity to question Obama? Other than condemning someone bringing a gun they have been strangely. AARP has about 40 million members. Do the math. 60,000 represents 0.15% of that membership. That is statistically very insignificant. AARP also reported that on average they normally lose 300,000 members per month. That means that 80% left AARP for reasons other than AARP's healthcare position. And AARP also reported that over the same period they gained 400,000 new members and that 1.5 million existing members renewed their membership. Do the math on those figures. By that count, for every person leaving AARP because they were unhappy of AARP's position on healthcare there were 32 that joined or affirmatively stayed with AARP knowing what the organization represents. It appears that AARP probably had a net gain in membership.
