Because most airlines don't feed you anymore unless you fly first class. They just give you a bag of pretzels or something similar and maybe a drink. Can't recall the type of plane [it was the same type as the one Air France lost over the Atlantic coming from Buenas Aires]. But their coach class seating has VERY tight space for the knees.
