Administrators Gail Posted August 26, 2009 Administrators Posted August 26, 2009 This morning I was up at 4:00. I did some writing and then sat down to check my mail. After I read a bit about Senator Kennedy's death, I saw something intriguing. It was a section entitled, Stars on a Bad Day, or something similar. I clicked through photographs of various famous people who were caught on camera when they were not at their best. It showed flabby skin and rough faces and all the cellulite you would care to look at. Many of these famous people were younger than I, and I'm thinking that many of them also have paid good money for surgeries. You know, I'm not yet 50, but soon I will be, but it was refreshing to me to know that these people DO suffer from aging like we all do. Many of my body parts actually look a lot better at my age than many of the ones I witnessed. I'm not going to be self-conscious about aging ANYMORE!! GreatLakesGramma Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 A few years ago, Jamie Lee Curtis appeared in an article in More magazine, without makeup and in her underwear, then showing the whole process she goes through to get ready for filming. I think they got more reader response for that article than any in their history. Women were delighted to realize that Ms. Curtis shares the same challenges most of the rest of us have, to look good. Administrators Gail Posted August 27, 2009 Author Administrators Posted August 27, 2009 Taking a viewpoint from my wife, who is two years younger than I at the age of 73, it isn't the body parts that keep me in love with her, but they are a part of the enjoyable time of our experience together.
