What if we carried it around in our purse or pocket? What if we flipped through it several times a day? What if we turned back to get it if we forgot it? What if we used it to receive messages from the text? What if we treated it like we couldn’t live without it? What if we gave it to kids as gifts? What if we took it with us when we traveled? What if we used it in case of an emergency? This is something to make you go…hmm…where’s my Bible? Oh, and one more thing: Unlike our cell phones, we don’t have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill. And no dropped calls! It comes in quite handy when he wants to look up a verse quickly, and it's readily available as it is always on his person. He gets the occasional odd look from others in church when he uses it to read from. Quote

I do have one handy at work and there are times when it does come in very handy! GreatLakesGramma Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I have the Bible in several versions on my pocket PC, which I carry with me at all times, even around the house. I use it mostly at church, because I like to travel light, and my print Bible is kind of heavy. I also have eSword on my laptop with even more versions, and use it for study, because it's so nice for taking notes, comparing versions, and looking up concordance and dictionary references. I only carry my cell phone when I leave the house, and only my husband and children have my number. It's a bare-bones prepaid phone, and I seldom use it at all. If someone calls a wrong number to my cell phone while I am home, I am so unused to hearing it ring, I always think it's my son's cell phone going off, though I'm finally starting to recognize it some of the time. And more than once I have accused my husband's cell phone of being annoying, when it's MY cell phone signaling me that I have a message (either from Alltel, or somebody dialed a wrong number, because my family will always call the home phone first). My wireless contract with AT & T expires next month, and I want what T-Mobile is offering - a cellphone that can also do what my Palm Pilot does. Quote
