SivartM Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Balloon Boy... the Movie. Herds of buffalo begin to stampede Los Angeles, throwing the streets into chaos. Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the city, a perfectly ordinary man named Robert Kleene messes with his weather balloon. ROBERT: Hold this rope, will you, son? HAWK: Sure, dad! Smiles ROBERT: Look out! Buffalo slam into Robert, who jumps into a tree watching helplessly as his son flies away with a balloon. Meanwhile, Hawk, who has the unusual ability to survive on helium, somehow climbs inside of the balloon. Robert calls the National Guard, who in turn call the United Nations and the bakery. Meanwhile, up in space, a ship full of the alien ancestors of the Kleene family accidentally vaporizes the Amazon rainforest. BLORG: Oops... As oxygen levels rapidly decline, Hawk Kleene, who is still inside the runaway balloon, sees (somehow) the alien spaceship, which is descending rapidly toward him. The balloon is sucked into the spaceship with a large vacuum device. BLORG: Hawk! HAWK: Blorg! The two hug BLORG: We accidentally began a chain reaction which will destroy your home planet, so we came to get you and your family. HAWK: That was awfully kind of you, but don't worry. We're just doing this for the show. BLORG: I understand. Would you like me to deposit you in your attic? HAWK: Sure! Boy, am I tired. Meanwhile, Robert Kleene has amnesia from being hit by a buffalo, and is trying to fix his vacuum cleaner while being questioned in vain by the police. Meanwhile, in Washington, D.C., the president is boarding Air Force One to be evacuated to an oxygen-rich subterranean city. Meanwhile, after depositing Hawk Kleene in his family's attic, Blorg flies the spaceship down to Area 51, where he has a conference call with the president and the continent of South America. BLORG: Sorry about that. PRESIDENT: It's fine, really. SOUTH AMERICA: We really do beg to differ. Meanwhile, Robert Kleene, after a miraculous new amnesia cure is administered to him, remembers that Hawk flew away with a weather balloon, and also that it is Thursday. All TV stations point their cameras at a tiny dot in the sky for three hours, only to find out later that it was not the balloon but only some sort of unknown aircraft. Experts then realize that it is an alien spaceship and everyone in the world begins to panic and smash their TVs. EVERYONE: What are we going to do?!?!?!? TV cameras finally find the balloon, although nobody is watching anymore because everyone is too busy looting stores. The balloon lands five minutes later and instead of finding Hawk Kleene inside, the investigators find some sort of glowing alien algae that got into it from the spaceship. Deducing that Hawk has been turned by the aliens into algae, panicked civilians build shrines to the aliens and take herbal supplements. Meanwhile, Blorg is flying back to his home planet to find out how to unvaporize the Amazon Rainforest and save earth. Suddenly, the internet goes down. Fade to credits... SivartM Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 Note, this is not an actual movie. SivartM Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 Good, I just wanted to make sure everyone else knew. SivartM Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 Well, one can never be too careful. I wouldn't want the AP to pick this up and think it was real. Because of course everything you read on forums is true. Quote "Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." - Oscar WildeDo to others whatever you would like them to do to you.
