Woody Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Okay ... let me give this a go. Friday I accomplished a home project. We moved our wooden front porch swing in the house and up on the pool table. This way I could reach it easily so that I could stain it. I found the project rather frustrating. The lighting around the pool table is poor. And it was difficult to see how the stain was getting spread as it should. If I turned my head one way I lost sight of it due to the poor light. If I moved my body I lost sight of my goal. I had to call in Blanche to point out the error of my ways. Just when I thought I had seen it all ... she pointed out more work that needed to be done. The light seemed to be different for her than it was for me. But together we made it happen. Along the way ... we had some differences. She was upset that I wore a nice shirt while painting. I assured her that I didn't "intend" to get it ruined with paint. Of course in the end ... my good intentions were not good enough. I wish I had listened to her. And so does she. Okay ... Woody Posted October 24, 2009 Author Posted October 24, 2009 HEY REDWOOD I can see a few spiritual lessons here 1. we live in a dark work spiritually (dim light) 2. it is better to have 2 people working together to draw strength from each other(when wife helped) 3.some times we need advice from others even if we think we don't need it(when shirt got messed up) dgrimm60 Excellent. This is why a forum like this is so beneficial. Each person can share their personal take on the light they have been given. Just as I needed what Blanche saw in the same light that I had.
