It is now time for the Halloweeners to come out. The First Children are dressing up but it is a State Secret as to what they will be. The White House will accept 2,000 trick or treaters.

How many will come to YOUR door?

What kind of candy are you handing out tonight?

Will you also dress up? If so what are you going to be?

May we be one so that the world may be won.

We use to hand out Little Friends with boxes of raisins but at our current address we never get any children.

Tonight we went to our church's harvest party. It was a lot of fun. Good food, fellowship and a lot of games. They rented a moon jump for the kids and we had horseback riding.

I've never had a trick or treater in 22 years here, and that's the way I like it.

We never have trick-or-treaters at our house, but I was camping with Pathfinders anyway.

We didn't have any trick or treaters, we just stayed home and watched a lot of movies and veged out on junk food. My daughter dressed up as a princess, but not so much for Halloween, she likes to play dress up all the time--it is so much fun having a girly girl.

Nobody came to our door last night. It's a good thing because my wife has not been well. Homes in our neighborhood are relatively far apart. Besides, we turned off all the lights and so the house was dark. I did buy two big bags of chocolate and a bag of assorted Reese. I put them in the freezer for next year, if we don't eat them before then!

I kept my lights off on the porch and thankfully no little brats came to the house. I hadn't bought any candy for them anyway.

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

I don't think I could resist candy in the house for an entire year. You must have a very unusual household.

In these distant parts we have always looked on trick or treating as

an American custom that is making gradual inroads here.

I am probably becoming a grumpy old woman, but it is not something

I encourage, ie I do not stock anything to give the occasional small people who knock at the door.

These days I do not think it is responsible parenting to let kids knock at the doors of strange houses, and I would avoid anything

acknowledging Halloween, given its origins.

Am I just a bit far out there?

HEY ALL

one Halloween about 7 years ago I WAS living in

another APT COMPLEX.....I DID not buy any candy and my

out side light was off...I GOT this knock on my door

and there was a young teenage boy with no costume

with a bag asking for candy I WAS taken back and I

ask him what he was suppose to be dressed as???? he

told me that he just wanted candy and was going

door to door....well I TOLD him that I HAD no candy

and wish him well

Well ... I guess it ended better than I was fearing. I was afraid he would do you harm.

I asked one of my employees (Chet) if he was ready for Halloween. "Yep. Got a piece of tape over the doorbell".

Olger liked that answer, and considered promoting the employee.

"Please don't feed the drama queens.."

WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT THE RUNNING OF THE '2009 TALLEDEGA SPRINT CUP', WOULD BE WON BY A LONG SHOT, 'Jamie MacMurray',......he hasn't won a race since 2007. Beleive it or not?!

Great race today!

Be Blessed.

I used to leave the dog tied up on the front porch, no one ever came to the house. :) Now no one ever comes, even though we don't have a big dog anymore.
