Dr. Shane Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 As we went off to church today, Shania (our six-year old girl) put on her new, glittery, red shoes. I set the frosted cake on the floor next to the sliding door in the mini-van and Shania climbed in to her car seat. Off we went to church. When we stopped, Shania took off her seat and stepped right into the cake - ruining the cake and covering her new shoe with frosting. So we returned home to clean her shoe and settle down an emotionally distraught little girl. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Members phkrause Posted November 7, 2009 Members Posted November 7, 2009 Shane as you were telling the story and I was reading it, and I didn't peel ahead, I had an idea of the ending. I hope she's OK? I'm also wondering was she more distraught over the shoes or the cake? pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Woody Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Did she lick it off of her shoes? That would have made ME feel a while lot better. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

nuff sed Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Shane; Remember, mayonnaise and frosting cover a multitude of sins....You could have duct-taped the cake back together, re-frosted it and nobody would have been the wiser! Quote
Dr. Shane Posted November 8, 2009 Author Posted November 8, 2009 Well Shania and my wife are off at a women's ministres cooking class so maybe they will come home with something good. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
