Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup.

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

If it's of God then there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

I pray that the education system of the SDA religion (which I am a product of, including LLU) dies a quick death and is replaced by a Christian system with Christ as it's head and not ellen.

"You may not agree with everyone. But if you are an honest man, when someone says something you disagree with it’ll drive you to the Word. If you find out that you were wrong and change your thinking then you are the better for it. If you go to the Word and find out that you were right then you have been strengthened. But either way always go to the Word!!” Billye Brim

He missed a big piece of the puzzle. INDUSTRY. Our schools have gotten rid of industry. 30 years ago most of our colleges and academies had farms or other industry that provided students with work so they could pay for their tuition.

I would never send my children to a boarding school unless they were misbehaved and needed correction. Our small elementary schools should go to 12th grade so that kids can stay close to home.

I am not a big fan of Christian colleges for educating students in subjects beyond theology and medicine. Many of our students will graduate college with $80K in student loans and take a job earning $35K/year. That is insane. State colleges are cheaper and many students can live at home while attending to make them even more affordable. If not living at home, state colleges allow students to live closer to home and nourish family bonds and support the local church. Unless the child is going to study theology, I see no great need to go to an Adventist college.

I earned my way through Academy by working at Harris Pine Mills which was on campus. Don't know what has happened to that type of issue. But I do think work is important. It was required at my school.

Yes. Well, I guess we all must have had behavioural problems and needed correction. Perhaps I STILL need correction.

When I went to GNYA, it was only for my senior year. My parents couldn't afford to sent both my brother and me at the same time. Even it wasn't for the church/conference each paying a third of the tuition neither one of us would have gone at all. I went that one year, my brother went 3 years.
