In an effort to halt the spread of the swine flu, Walt Disney World has installed dozens of hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the theme park, hotel lobbies and character meet-and-greet areas. Disney is also reminding visitors of basic health safety tips, like covering their mouths while sneezing and washing hands regularly, on fliers that list park hours and show times. In all, more than 60 bulk hand sanitizer dispensers have been added at Disney World and Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. The health precautions are the most visible steps taken by any of Orlando's major theme parks since the swine flu outbreak last spring. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted November 15, 2009 Author Members Posted November 15, 2009 Right...I hope people use it. There was another death in Washington State of a 4 yr old girl who had swine flu last Monday, but the studies used to detect swine flu didn't come back until today, confirming she had it. GreatLakesGramma Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I am concerned about my son right now. He is sick. He's in the at risk age group, & he had pneumonia once before in his life. GreatLakesGramma Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I guess he probably does have the swine flu. Last weekend he went along to help a friend move to Tennessee. He rode down with her in her car, then rode back with her parents, who had driven down in their own car. They had all had the swine flu, and her mother was still contagious, according to the information he found on the CDC website. So I guess we have the germs around our house now. GreatLakesGramma Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 It's probably too late now, Pam. He got the sore throat last Wednesday, and his nose was running Friday. Up until today, I had forgotten his friend's family had had the swine flu just before he went with them to TN. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26.
