Stan Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I have been getting a lot of notices that people are putting items into their shopping cart on store.clubadventist.com, but we are not getting any credit for the sales, if you end up purchasing something, please let me know so I can track it. Cosmin M. Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Can't wait to support myself! Cause when we visited California we went to an Adventist store and we bought veggie lamb and some cereals and Worthington foods and it was SOOOOO good. (I would actually give up real meat for that stuff!) Quote

Cause when we visited California we went to an Adventist store and we bought veggie lamb and some cereals and Worthington foods and it was SOOOOO good. (I would actually give up real meat for that stuff!) Well that's interesting Cosmin, most say the opposite. I usually tell people that when substituting, don't think of them as a replacement food, because it usually doesn't taste anything like the meat that they had eaten before. I wish that our store's wouldn't advertise that they do. Just say this is a soy, or what ever is made of, variation of such and such. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted December 26, 2009 Members Posted December 26, 2009 I agree, pk. Just say it is a different food. When my father started eating vege foods he hated them because they didn't taste like the meat it was supposed to be replacing. If someone had just said it's just a different food, I don't think he would have been so opposed to vegeburger and Wham! Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted December 26, 2009 Members Posted December 26, 2009 Note to Stan: Can the store provide large size cans of products for groups, or is everything in the smaller, family-sized cans? I have a Camp Business Manager who would be interested in purchasing in bulk from here, if possible. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. Woody Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 For Christmas dinner we had some delicious pacan patties by Cedar Lake. Cedar Lake has some of the very best. But we hadn't tasted these before. My favorite is Terkettes. Whoops. That almost looks like pagan patties. I meant to say 'pecan' patties. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted December 26, 2009 Members Posted December 26, 2009 Just looked at the Amazon store - they have a LOT of Cedar Lake products, including the Terkettes. I've tried the pecan patties, but found them to be a little bit dry. Did you use gravy on them? Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. Woody Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I can assure you that they were not even CLOSE to being dry. But then I think it depends upon the way one prepares them. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
GreatLakesGramma Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 I fixed pecan patties for Christmas dinner too. My guys like to eat them in buns, with cheese. Redwood I also like Cedar Lake stuff. I think it has less added stuff to it than the worthington, but my DF loves the older stuff better. We like the Skallops, which the terkettes are similiar too, and the Choplets best. dgrimm, I have tried most if not all the different vege-meats and have not really found any that taste as they claim! But I do think each of us does taste things a little different anyway. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.
