Members phkrause Posted December 1, 2009 Members Posted December 1, 2009 I saw that on the news a while back, pretty interesting. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
GreatLakesGramma Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 The only problem with eating only food you have coupons for is that almost everything you can buy with coupons is unhealthy food. It's highly processed, and either high in fat, high in sugar, loaded with chemicals, refined, or any combination of the above. I have never seen coupons for fresh produce. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Lewis
GreatLakesGramma Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I would rather pay for my groceries than eat all that junk. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Lewis
Members phkrause Posted December 1, 2009 Members Posted December 1, 2009 When I saw that on the news the other day I thought the same thing GLG. But I guess when you are really in need, and she didn't look like she was, everything you can get your hands on is gonna be good to eat. But you do have to spend plenty of time getting coupons, going through them and than doing the time in the stores to make sure you follow the directions exactly. And yes no vegetables. I've never seen coupons for those. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Amelia Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 *GP I've never seen coupons for tofu or soy products in my area. Once in a blue moon do I find coupons for the soy milk I use. Doug Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Why DON'T we have coupons for fruit and vegetables? Quote
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted December 2, 2009 Members Posted December 2, 2009 There *are* some coupons that are good for dollars off anything in the store, including fresh fruit and vegetables. My mom uses those coupons regularly. I guess it depends on what store you buy from.. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Doug Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Must b dependent on the stores, we don't have anything like that around here. Quote
GreatLakesGramma Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 The stores around here don't do that either. None of them double coupons or do senior discounts either. GreatLakesGramma Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 That's about the way it happened here too. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26.
