Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted December 19, 2009 Members Posted December 19, 2009 Yesterday the authorities called off the search for the missing Mt Hood climbers, due to blizzard conditions and avalanche hazards. If only these climbers had used the electronic GPS units that are available to climbers, they probably would have been located. These three had only been up the mountain 5 times....that does not make them "experienced" climbers of Mt Hood, as first thought. What a terrible loss for the families of all three climbers (one climber was found dead due to hypothermia). SivartM Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 That's dreadful. I'll pray for their families... Is there any chance that the other two might survive? Or do we know that they're dead? So probably they have not survived. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup.
