Outta Here Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Although they had long known that Earth was about to be destroyed, their attempts to communicate this knowledge to humanity were misinterpreted as attempts to jump through hoops for bits of fish. They left the Earth just prior to its destruction, but left humanity one last message, a triple jump through a hoop whilst whistling the Star Spangled Banner, which, when translated, read, So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish*... Quote: San Francisco's smelly sea lions end their 20-year stay Last month, Pier 39 groaned under the weight of some 1,500 of the animals. But now all but a few have swum off bringing to an end a two-decade long sojourn - and one of the world's smelliest tourist attractions. The first bull sea lions arrived in late 1989, but the animals began to depart in November. Officials hope the departure is only temporary - as a 20th anniversary party had been planned for 15 January. *Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Quote
