When the Lord impressed me to study the book of Daniel verse by verse and to search the Spirit of Prophecy for corroborating material, I thought that my Brothers and Sisters in the SDA Church would jump for joy to gain endtime insights. But alas when my wife's health failed and I was overwhelmed caring for her and two young children and studying and writing and working full time something had to give. The boss fired me (when someone asserted that I fell asleep at work. Drowsy yes - asleep no) That sure made the load lighter and I had more time to care for the wife and kids and to finish the research that God called me to do. But becoming unemployed created a new set of challenges. And then when the study in Daniel was finished and the book written, I was amazed to find out that SDA's were totally indifferent to it. People of other denominations have been more supportive, but often when they discover that studying Daniel teaches dietary reform, the state of the dead, the Sanctuary in Heaven and so many other teachings that are so Adventist, their support chills. So it makes it hard to support good causes liberally or even take on another small expense when your life's work is sitting on a shelf begging to be a blessing to others and all of your resources are tied up in it. That said, I praise God. He has seen me through this trial in a most marvelous way. Though it is January and most of December's bills are unpaid, I know that God's timing is perfect. He is using this trial to get me to actively promote the message in Daniel that we need to know before Christ Comes. Had I not had the current needs, I would be less active in His cause. Make the need known. Do what is at hand. And rely on the Lord to fulfill His promises in His time. Like Danny S says, Where God guides, He provides.
